During his time in Germany, George’s work in practice has focused on the design of several typologically diverse, timber construction Kindergartens. Each proposal seeks to reflect its immediate context, while celebrating their shared child-focused function. Elevated play space, child height glazing and ‘between spaces’, which blur the boundary between external and internal play, ensure the experience of the buildings’ young users is exciting and varied.
