Analysis of Poplar’s present and future urban condition were central to formulating a site specific architectural language for the Poplar Education Service. This drawing series anticipates the neighbourhood’s imminent redevelopment, and documents some of Poplar’s existing towers. The aerial view of Poplar depicts the existing condition (2019) followed by a projection 20 years into the future. In this second drawing, the highlighted augmentation of existing schools, colleges and libraries, demonstrates the project’s diffuse, Poplar-wide masterplan.
